Hello Interwebs!
Episode 4 is now up online. If you haven’t seen it yet then fear not, through the magic of the ‘net I am able to provide you with “a handy text based link that will open the vid up in a new window”
You can go and watch it and then come back, it’s ok.
This episode was a lot of fun to film, it’s getting easier the more I do it. One of these days I’ll be perfect. There are some things that didn’t make the cut and, as is now my custom, I shall talk about here.
1) More Avengers Froth!! I just don’t get tired of talking about, or reading about, this film. I’m already counting down until next year for Iron Man 3 and Thor 2. News that I filmed, but which got cut, were rumours that Whedon was looking to address the gender bias in the next Avengers; with potential characters being Wasp or Ms. Marvel. We filmed a wonderful set for this actually, but then it devolved into what can only be described as NSFW (wait for the Bloopers Reel at the end of the series) There was also some rambling about old school anthropomorphised animal shows (Gentle Ben, Flipper, Lassie, Skippy)
No matter how hard I tried I could’t deliver the gender bias news story properly after that. Kind of glad I didn’t, because after shooting it turned out that Joss isn’t sure whether he wants to do the sequel. Are you deliberately trying to make me cry Mr.Whedon?!?!
2) Fall 2012 Schedules!! So sad to see so many shows go, couldn’t remember all of them so I know that I missed a few. I also might have been a bit vague about things too, so let’s clarify a few points.
i) Yes, I know Game of Thrones is currently on our screens in its second season; what I was hoping to get across is that it has been renewed for a third season run. (YAY!!)
ii) Yes, I’m genuinely confused as to why Vampire Diaries and 2 Broke Girls are getting renewed.
iii) Sorry for referring to Green Arrow’s contribution to Smallville as a “small part”, the truth his is character made that show more watchable.
iv) There are other new shows like 666 Park Avenue and The Neighbors which might satisfy fans of the unusual and supernatural.
3) Keeping with the theme of cancelled shows, there was a very very good blog this week on the SFX Site by Steven Ellis on how many TV shows aren’t being given enough of a chance to bed themselves in before being axed. Alcatraz, for example, has only had one season, but now it’s gone. Read the blog, it’s absolutely brilliant. You can do it by clicking HERE!! CLICK ME!! CLICK ME!!
Hope you enjoyed the show, thanks to everyone for your continued support. Remember to subscribe, like and share.
Until next time,
Take care, and be excellent to each other
